libprocps3 software package provides library for accessing process information from /proc, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libprocps3
libprocps3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libprocps3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libprocps3 *
You will get with libprocps3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
